Summit Ave. Home Interior Design: Historic Preservation

Historic design of showcase home preserves pristine quality, character

Victorian homes along Summit Ave. in St. Paul, MN are notable for the preservation of their historic character. In true tradition, homeowners of this showcase Summit Ave. residence chose Interior Designer Mallory Archer to restore their grand entryway to its original splendor.

Historic preservation at its highest. St. Paul, MN Interior Designer Mallory Archer and her team of experts joined forces to bring out the pristine quality and character of this historic Summit Ave. home. Their shared objective was to not overdo, but to enhance the historic preservation. The homeowners – and their guests – revel in the end results.

Interior Designer Mallory Archer brought the ornate ceiling and crown moldings – original to the Summit Ave. home – to life with a touch of color. From floor to ceiling, the walls are faux-painted to look like limestone as part of the home’s historic design. A built-in radiator cover creates a cozy window seat. Exquisite window treatments, fabrics and upholsteries in regal shades match the grandeur of the home, while adding warmth to the space.

From the hand-woven rugs to the table skirts, the tapestries in this St. Paul, MN historic preservation home serve to ground the eclectic mix of patterns, including the authentic iron railings and checkerboard marble floor.
