Interior Design heats up industrial Minneapolis MN condo
A busy bachelorette fled the ‘burbs in favor of a city condo in Minneapolis, MN. When she arrived, she realized her industrial loft surroundings lacked the comfort, warmth, and color she craved.
Some like it hot. The condo owner selected Minneapolis Interior Designer Mallory Archer to spruce and spice up her space. Brandi’s mission: to create comfort, warmth, and continuity throughout the Minneapolis condo interior design.
Where the view takes center stage. Full-length, traversing drapery panels provide privacy, light protection, and heat, while framing a spectacular panorama of downtown Minneapolis. In the dining area next to the windows, a thin, airy, metal-framed chandelier provides bright light without obstructing the view.
Furniture lines are clean and simple, with solid-colored fabrics throughout the Minneapolis condo. Varied textures add interest and warmth. The richly colored silk and wool rug grounds the living space and adds another dimension to the living room interior design.
A custom floor-to-ceiling fireplace surround, wrapped in Ribbon Mahogany squares and trimmed with stainless steel strips, creates a checkerboard pattern. The natural graining and tones of the mahogany add texture and warmth, while the stainless steel strips tie the design into the rest of the space.
An avid reader’s dream. The condo owner required lots of space to store her books. Minneapolis Interior Designer Mallory Archer delivered, with custom, built-in bookcases along an entire wall. The bright color behind serves as a beautiful, yet subtle accent within the open floor plan, where a loveseat invites the hardworking homeowner to put up her feet and set a spell.
In the kitchen, Minneapolis Interior Designer Mallory Archer wrapped the existing center island in a durable stainless steel and added a glass mosaic backsplash that encompasses the entire kitchen, giving the space more continuity, color, and a little sparkle.
