Busy parents of three sought a soft and elegant, spa-like getaway. Placid water views serve as the focal point for their elegant master suite design. 

A peaceful sanctuary looking out on the lake. Situated in a close-knit community outside Minneapolis, MN, this shore-side home underwent a major remodel with a master-suite addition. The homeowners turned to Twin Cities Interior Designer Mallory Archer to transform the space into a secluded couples’ retreat with a whirlpool tub, luxurious steam shower, ample storage, and a nostalgic sit-down vanity. Rich materials throughout the space add personality – and luxury – to the pristine and neutral tones.

The Roman shades adorning the bathroom window are motorized to provide privacy, or let in the vistas, at the press of a button. Ample hidden and display storage spaces are built in throughout the master bathroom design.

Soothing and simple elegance, with a touch of glamour. Soft lighting from offset sconces frames the bathroom vanities … and calms the spirit. Topped with a glamorous, quartz material called Caesar stone, the counters complement the natural limestone flooring that borders a majestic, marble mosaic.

The master bedroom suite blends the homeowners’ affinity for tradition and eye for contemporary aesthetics. Interior Designer Mallory Archer painted their crystal chandelier to tie in with a modern fireplace. Art niches surround the radiant centerpiece with soft, green hues that echo the bedroom’s fresh and clean color motif.
